Our aims
We have solid experience of distributing multiple small products, in a similar way to the water widget, often over 1 million devices per year. Sometimes the numbers delivered were much higher!
The water widget
A simple but highly effective water-saving device
The water widget is the first product of many which we hope to bring to market, using finance from Verified Emission Reductions (VERs). The water widget is a proven device which is easy to understand, easy to fit and in the current climate the £300 difference to an average family’s energy bill is particularly meaningful.
We intend to grow the number of water widgets being sent to homes to demonstrate credible volume VER projects and proving our ability to deliver using this financing model. We then will bring other emission-reducing products into homes creating a business where multiple VER programmes can be created and operated.
We also wish to demonstrate that delivering a water widget need not be the end of the conversation with a consumer. The water widget can be the start of a much longer and more impactful conversation. It can also represent a little step taken by lots of people to bring about immense change in their individual situations getting help for fuel impoverished families. This is what we mean by ‘social value’.
Operational engine
Operational Engine
The Littlesteps’ ‘operational engine’ is the basis of the skillsets we have available to create these schemes and to get them delivered from scratch.
Ask us for more information on the Littlesteps’ ‘operational engine’. This is our production engine which enables us to market a product, get it delivered and to carry out the monitoring and verification. It will also form the basis for ongoing products’ use to be similarly verified, and the products to be offered free of charge, delivered into homes.
In other words, the water widget activity is just the start of our ability to create UK-based Verified Emission Reductions. We see an ongoing need and potential for creating such VERs – in the UK and around the world.
These skillsets are supported by an extensive installer network operating across the UK, relationships with a range of landlords, social housing providers and internal scheme development expertise to create impactful collaborations.
