Using skills honed in delivering historic Government-imposed energy reduction schemes, the Littlesteps team will leverage the growing VER markets to bring about big change right here on our doorsteps.
These VERs delivering local social value alongside the quality VER, Whilst the initial projects are in the UK, they can be replicated across the world.
How does Littlesteps help?

We offer consumers free products to help them save money. Our water widget product can be installed in minutes which can save up to £300 each year, with no downside whatsoever.
Each water widget saves up to 1 tonne of CO2e over its lifetime. These savings are converted into Verified Emission Reductions (VERs). We believe our ‘made in the UK’ approach has merit given the exceptional social impact from a free product taking just minutes to install which delivers significant savings in return for a small change in behaviour.
The savings which can exceed £300 per year can lead into a longer conversation on how fuel poverty and cost of living can be improved. This all contributes to ‘social value’.

The water widget
A simple but highly effective water-saving device
Our first product is a simple but highly effective water-saving device. When installed, each water widget saves 1 tonne of CO2e over its ten-year life.
The water widget is an inline flow aerator device. A shower which is running higher than 10 litres per minute – tens of millions of showers in the UK – can take advantage of the venturi effect the water widget creates. This aerates the water to create a more refreshing shower experience whilst reducing the flow rate by up to 50%, saving money heating the water, reducing energy consumption and reducing CO2 emissions.
